The government have confirmed that all school students will be returning to the classrooms from the 8th March. This is great news for parents and teachers, many of whom have been concerned about the amount of education children have been missing.
The return to school will be phased, with primary schools and some secondary year groups returning first. Schools have been working hard to prepare for the return, implementing safety measures and planning for how best to support students.
For parents, this news brings relief but also some anxiety about safety. Schools have detailed risk assessments in place and will continue to follow government guidance on testing and hygiene measures.
Teachers have shown incredible dedication during the period of remote learning, and will continue to adapt their teaching to meet the needs of students who may be at different stages of learning when they return.
