Working with Other Teachers to Share Learning

As a teacher, chances are you spend a lot of your time with pupils as opposed to colleagues. It can be easy to feel like you don’t have a lot of connection with your colleagues. As teachers, you should all support each other wherever possible, and it is important to share your resources so you can all teach your students to the same high standards.

If you find that you aren’t getting a lot of time with your colleagues, instigate more interaction by sharing your own resources. If you have anything that you find particularly useful for your lessons, this is always worth sharing with your colleagues. Whilst it is also beneficial to have discussions, there is also the chance to send resources online. You can share resources on staff portals and make sure everyone has access to them, which still gives you that kind of connection to the rest of your teaching department.
